Women's Foodservice Forum seeking leadership award nominees

September 24, 2012

The Women's Foodservice Forum is now accepting nominations for the 2013 Trailblazer Award and the 2013 Leadership Award. Each of these awards honors an individual with outstanding achievements advancing women leaders in the foodservice industry.

"Being nominated for the Trailblazer Award or the Leadership Award is an outstanding honor," said Fritzi Woods, WFF president and CEO. "Promoting diverse leadership teams not only makes individual organizations stronger, it makes our entire industry stronger. And that is something worth recognizing."

The Trailblazer Award is for an individual who is dedicated to improving the foodservice industry through his or her support of gender diversity, creating new pathways for women in their company and the industry at large, implementing them at all levels of their organization. The Leadership Award, given annually to a woman executive, recognizes someone who shows exceptional leadership qualities within her company and throughout the industry.

Last year Pat Harris, vice president and chief diversity officer of McDonald's Corporation, received the Trailblazer Award and Cheryl Bachelder, CEO of Popeyes' parent company AFC Enterprises, received the Leadership Award.

Nomination criteria can be found at wff.org/about/awards and must be submitted by Oct.15. Nominations can be emailed to awards@wff.org. Awards will be presented at the WFF Annual Leadership Development Conference April 14-17, 2013 in Orlando, Fla.
