Wingstop reported its first quarter results, including a 9.6-percent increase in same-store sales and an 8.2-percent increase in traffic.
Also, according to a press release, Wingstop signed 25 new development agreements throughout the first three months of the year. The signings represent commitments for 57 new restaurants in nine states including Wingstop's first entry into Kansas and Minnesota.
The brand added to its international footprint as well, signing a 50-unit development agreement in the Philippines. Wingstop expects a minimum of four restaurants to open in the Philippines this year.
Other Q1 highlights include:

"Our average unit volumes are quickly approaching the million dollar level. And with an investment of less than $400,000, we believe we are one of the best franchise opportunities in the industry."
