Wingstop posts 1Q earnings

DALLAS — Fast-casual chain Wingstop announced April 5 that first quarter same-store sales increased 17 percent for the first quarter ended April 1.
The increase marks the chains consecutive 15-month comp increase, according to company officials.
"Our commitment to focusing solely on chicken wings and our dedication to being The Wing Experts has enabled us to reach these tremendous accomplishments," said James A. Flynn, Wingstop president and chief executive. "We anticipate continued growth throughout 2007 as we adhere to our great tradition of service in our current stores, introduce our brand into new markets, extend the online ordering opportunity to more customers, and celebrate the upcoming sales of our one-billionth chicken wing."
