Wingstop celebrated the launch of its 800th restaurant this month when a new location in Newark, New Jersey, opened its doors.

"Our 800th opening is an exciting milestone for us and is a testament to the appeal of our brand and the hard work put in daily by all of our franchisees and team members,"  said Charlie Morrison, president and CEO. "We are thrilled to serve flavor across more than 800 locations today, and continue to believe there is opportunity to expand to 2,500 locations across the United States alone."

Wingstop first opened its doors in 1994, in Dallas, Texas, and plans to add 120 to 130 new franchise stores in 2015.
