Wingstop's newest restaurant in Sterling, Va., marks the chain's 600th unit, according to a company press release.
"As we wrap-up our 10th consecutive year of same-store sales growth, the 600th store milestone is a testament to the strength of the Wingstop business model," said Wingstop CEO Charlie Morrison. "The D.C.-metro area is a key growth market for Wingstop as we continue to expand our system to more than 1,000 restaurants worldwide."
Franchise owner Neil Frank, Wingstop CEO Charlie Morrison, and members of the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce will join other business and civic leaders for a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m., Nov. 20, at the new 21430 Cedar Dr., location.
As part of the day's celebration, Wingstop will offer guests five free classic or boneless wings sauced, tossed and made to order in their choice of flavors.
"Wings are one of the hottest trends nationwide and Sterling is the perfect place for a Wingstop," said Frank. "We expect to become the 'go-to' place for flavor lovers looking for the best in wings in town."
This is the second Wingstop in to open in Virginia. Wingstop has four locations in the D.C.-metro area with plans to open 15 new restaurants over the coming years.
