Wingstop lands new unit in San Fran

June 26, 2013

Wingstop has expanded in San Francisco, opening at 5698 3rd St. East, in the Bayview area. This is the 38th location in the Bay Area, one of the fastest-growing markets for the 570-unit concept.

"Wings and sports go hand in hand, and we're excited to open so close to Candlestick Park, where so many memorable San Francisco sports moments have happened," said owner Terry Blanchard, who operates several Wingstop restaurants in Northern California. "Fans have waited months for this new location to open, and we're ready to serve them delicious, quality wings that are made fresh and cooked-to-order."

Wingstop opened its first Bay Area location in 2005 in Oakland, Calif. Thanks to fan support and growing demand for fresh, made-to-order wings, the chain has nearly 40 stores in the area with plans to open three new restaurants this year.
