Wingstop heating up Chicago

April 8, 2013

Wingstop has opened a new Chi-town unit at 2240 South Cicero Ave. in Cicero, Ill., marking the Chicago area's 21st Wingstop.

The new opening is thanks to Pat Madden of Five Point Wings and is the fourth Wingstop for Madden and his business partners. They also own the restaurants at 4428 S. Pulaski Road, 3900 Harlem and 6188 S. Archer Ave.

"Chicago is one of the fastest growing spots for Wingstop and that's thanks to our dedicated fans who appreciate a quality, made-to-order product," said Madden. "Wingstop has the best wings in town and we're excited to provide another convenient location for guests. Our fans love the food and keep coming back for more."

Wingstop, which has more than 550 locations across the U.S. and Mexico, opened five new locations in Chicago in the last year, and expects to open five more in the coming months, making the city one of the fastest growing markets for the concept.

"We promised Chicago-area fans more locations, and now Wingstop is delivering six new restaurants across the city," said Tom Schaffer, who owns two locations and serves as president of the Wingstop Chicago advertising co-op. "Our fans line up when we open a new restaurant, and we are excited to keep saucing and tossing wings for Chicago."
