Wingstop celebrates 500-store milestone

In celebration of 500 restaurants, and as a thank you to fans across the country, Wingstop is offering a $5 special on its 5-wing combo – available Dec. 19 only. The offer includes 5 regular wings or 5 boneless wings, a regular beverage and a regular order of fresh-cut, seasoned fries.

"Opening our 500th restaurant is a huge milestone for our brand," said Jim Flynn, Wingstop president and CEO. "Wingstop guests are the most loyal, enthusiastic fans around and it's because of them we've grown from a single location in Garland, Texas, to 500 locations coast to coast. This special offer is our way of thanking fans and celebrating with some great wings."

Wingstop was founded in 1994 and began franchising in 1997. Headquartered in Richardson, Texas, Wingstop has experienced eight consecutive years of positive sales increases. Troy Aikman, three-time Super Bowl champion and Hall of Fame quarterback, has served as the chain's national spokesman since 2003 and recently joined the Wingstop Board of Directors. Wingstop was acquired in 2010 by Roark Capital Group, an Atlanta-based private equity firm.
