Wingstop announces Superbowl numbers and new menu items

Wingstop sold 2.5 million chicken wings system wide at its more than 260 locations on Super Bowl Sunday, exceeding their mid-January estimate of 2.2 million chicken wings. Super Bowl Sunday has consistently ranked as the chicken-wing-only chain's busiest day of the year.
The chain also announced a new menu item. The chain offers boneless wings that are made from 100 percent all-white meat chicken breast coated with a proprietary batter and breading. Wingstop features nine wing flavors, including Original Hot, Cajun, Atomic, Mild, Teriyaki, Lemon Pepper, Hawaiian, Garlic Parmesan and Hickory Smoked BBQ.
