Williams Fresh Cafe, a fast casual chain with 36 locations in Ontario, Canada, is teaming up with Yogurty's, the largest self-serve frozen yogurt group of stores in Canada, opening four new Yogurty's self-serve frozen yogurt stations within Williams Fresh Cafe. The addition of Yogurty's frozen yogurt and toppings expands Williams' menu, which includes made-fresh sandwiches, salads, smoothies, baked goods and gourmet coffees, said Williams Fresh Cafe CEO Rainer Mueller,
"A partnership with Yogurty's is a natural fit for the Williams made fresh concept. It appeals to a wide range of guests who are looking for a better-for-you frozen treat, especially those in a younger demographic," Mueller said. "The self-serve Yogurty's concept allows guests to completely customize serving size and flavor choice with a wide variety of toppings."
The opening of the four test locations follows the signing of a license agreement between Markham-based Yogurty's and Brantford-based Williams Fresh Cafe.
"Yogurty's is a great partner for us because they're a Canadian-based operator using fresh Canadian milk in their products," said Mueller.
Yogurty's continues its rapid growth, opening in more locations while gaining exposure with new customers.
"We've been having a great time celebrating grand openings with both Yogurty's and Williams customers in Burlington, London and Waterloo. Williams Fresh Cafe is the perfect home for Yogurty's, a place in the neighborhood for customers to enjoy the best of fresh, nutritious meals and snacks," said Yogurty's CEO Aaron Serruya.
Currently, the self serve frozen yogurt concept is available at four Williams Fresh Cafe locations in Ontario. Stores in London (3030 Wonderland Road), Waterloo (30 Northfield Drive East) and two in Burlington (2070 Appleby Line and 1250 Brant Street) have been renovated to sell the self-serve yogurt.
"Expansion plans are in the works. Right now we are testing the concept in four cafes," Mueller said. "It has been very well received by our guests in the first few weeks, and we are pretty excited about that. We do have plans to offer Yogurty's in more cafes after the test period.
