Dallas-based Which Wich, a fast-casual sandwich concept, is feeding 100,000 people in need today by making and donating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to local organizations across the country as part of its Project PB&J program, the company announced. The event will be taking place at Which Wich restaurants across the U.S., where each owner has committed to making 100 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for donations to a local nonprofit. Partnering organizations include Boys and Girls Clubs, homeless and emergency shelters and transitional housing centers.

"All of our franchisees share a passion for giving back to their local communities," said Jeff Sinelli, founder, CEO and "Chief Vibe Officer," in a press release. "I have always believed that a simple peanut butter and jelly sandwich can change the world, and we hope to make a significant impact in our communities by feeding 100,000 people on Thursday."

Project PB&J is a philanthropic campaign that donates one PB&J to a local organization for every sandwich sold, and another is banked in the brand's global fund for emergency situations.

"Our goal this year is to surpass our efforts in 2014 by donating at least 1 million PB&J sandwiches," Sinelli said. "Through the dedication of our franchisees, I am confident that we will reach this goal and continue to make a positive impact on the world."
