Which Wich leaves kids 'holding the bag' with new menu

June 29, 2016

Which Wich is rolling out a new kids menu this week after the mother of two youngsters, Courtney Sinelli, took her gripes about restaurant offerings for youngsters straight to the man at the top of the Which Wich chain, her CEO spouse, Jeff Sinelli.

"When Jeff dreamed up the idea for Which Wich, he wanted to give people a wide variety of options to help make the creation of their wich a personal experience," she said. "But, kids didn’t have that same option. We knew we could do better. So we recruited a group of dedicated moms from across the Which Wich system to help create a unique menu of kids wiches that we're proud to serve to our own families."

Mrs. Sinelli gathered a panel of maternal experts from across the country to help pull together a winning set of flavor profiles intended for young tongues. The group took pains to make allocations for special diets, while still keeping the fun factor in the forefront.

After six months of testing, the menu became reality and now youngsters can mark up those trademark brown bags at Which Wich, just like the big guys, to order from a list of sandwiches created just for them. Offerings include:

  • Peanut butter and jelly
  • Grilled cheese
  • Cheese pizzawiches
  • Kidswiches
  •  And roll-ups that feature meat and cheese without the bread for tiny mouths with gluten sensitivity.

The kids sandwiches are served in triple-compartment containers akin to traditional Japanese bento boxes, with lids, stickers and a token for a handful of M&Ms. Traditional chips can be traded out for fruit or vegetable sides for the more cooperative, kids who will actually put those in their mouths.
