Which Wich asks guests to 'Flag your Bag'

June 22, 2010

To celebrate Independence Day — and to show support for U.S. troops — Which Wich is encouraging customers to draw patriotic doodles on the back of their Which Wich bags from now until July 11.

Once they've completed their red-and-blue artwork, customers should take pictures of their bags, upload the pictures to the Which Wich wall at Facebook.com/WhichWich, and tag themselves to their photos.

The photo with the most "likes" on the Which Wich Facebook wall will win a $500 Which Wich gift card. Second and third place will receive a $250 and $100 gift card, respectively. At the end of the promotion, Which Wich will send the flagged bags to our troops stationed overseas so they'll "get the picture" of how grateful we are for their service.

"At Which Wich, the community wall is as important as the sandwiches," said Jeff Sinelli, Which Wich founder, CEO, and chief vibe officer. "We always encourage our customers to hang up their bag artwork, but this time we're kicking it up a notch. It's not just fun. It's a way to say thanks to the troops who fight for our freedom every day."

Which Wich is known for its creative ordering system. Customers use red Sharpies to mark up pre-printed menus on sandwich bags, and the customized sandwiches are delivered back to the customer in the same bag. Once they've enjoyed their sandwich, customers are encouraged to draw their best doodles on the back of the bag and hang their handiwork on the community wall inside the store.

To be eligible for the Flag Your Bag promotion, drawings must be created using red and blue Sharpies. (Blue Sharpies will be available at the stores for a limited time.) Photos must be posted on Facebook.com/WhichWich; however, customers also are encouraged to post pictures of their drawings on their own Facebook pages to encourage their friends to visit the Which Wich page and vote.
