Wayback Burgers is enlisting the talent of Chef Dale Miller to serve as a consultant with the company’s research and development department on menu development and innovation.
President of Master Chef Consulting Group, LLC, and one of only 69 certified master chefs in the U.S., Miller will apply his culinary talents "to create and further develop menu items that add another dimension to Wayback Burgers’ menu by combining on-trend and cutting-edge recipes using flavor variations that are approachable for consumers," according to a company press release.
"We are pleased to announce the addition of Chef Dale Miller to the Wayback Burgers team,” Jake’s Franchising President John Eucalitto said regarding the move. "Chef Miller's culinary expertise and experience, coupled with his creative approach and ability to meld his concepts with the Wayback Burgers brand persona, make him the perfect fit. We're already thrilled with the options he's created for our specialty Burger & Milkshake of the Month program, and we look forward to seeing everything that is to come in the future."
Miller is tasked with leading and consulting on menu development and ideation to create dishes that align with current trends, seasonality and brand personality, while ensuring they can be duplicated operationally across Wayback Burgers’ 100 locations nationwide, according to the company.
Miller's creations thus far include July’s All-American Burger and the Star Spangled Milkshake, which featured pop rocks for a fireworks effect, and August’s Southwest Tumbleweed Burger and Frosted Mojito Milkshake. He also created Wayback Burgers’ protein milkshakes—the Oreo Mud Pie Cricket Protein Milkshake, featuring Peruvian chocolate cricket protein powder, and the Jerky Milkshake, which replicates the taste of beef jerky.
"I was immediately intrigued by the Wayback Burgers concept, as the brand embraces the philosophy of well-crafted craveable food and progressive culinary thinking,” Miller said. "I look forward to working with the Wayback Burgers R&D team and bringing new and innovative twists to its already extraordinary lineup—from the creation of its Burgers and Milkshakes of the Month to new regular and specialty menu items."
Wayback Burgers serves never-frozen burgers and hand-dipped milkshakes amidst an atmosphere reminiscent of a hometown burger joint, according to a company statement. It currently operates in 25 states.
