Wahlburgers will soon offer the meatless burger known as the "Impossible Burger," at its U.S. locations, a news release said.
At the brand's stores nationwide, the plant-based burger substitute will be served as a four-ounce patty with smoked cheddar, lettuce, caramelized onions, chili-spiced tomatoes and the chain's signature house-made Wahlsauce.
Executive Chef Paul Wahlburg partnered with the makers of the burger last fall when it was added at Boston-area locations, according to Impossible Foods COO David Lee.
"We're thrilled that their unique take on our burger will now be enjoyed by Wahlburgers' dedicated following," he said in the release.
The release did not give a date for the burger's national debut, saying only that it would occur in coming months.
