Wahlburgers makes things official naming interim CEO as next president

It was a case of "You were there all along" for Wahlburgers. The Boston-based burger chain made things official with Interim CEO Patrick Renna, the chain's CFO who had been running it since last June when Rick Vanzuraleft the job. Renna, who first joined the company in 2015 as CFO, is now president as the company has decided to ditch the term, "CEO," according to the Boston Globe.

Before joining Wahlburgers, Renna was CEO of Boston-based Boloco chain.

Wahlburgers, created by celebrity brothers, Mark, Paul, and Donnie Wahlberg, in 2011, now has 30 locations with plans to hit 40 by the end of the year.
