The U.K.-based wagamama fast casual brand is planning to open another restaurant late this year in New York City, this time in the Midtown area.
The restaurant group recently closed its East Village location and operates a restaurant in the Murray Hill section of New York City, according to a press release.
The upcoming Midtown store will likely open in late summer with an external patio and full liquor license.
The brand's Murray Hill location, which features an outdoor space and liquor license, opened on Feb. 6 of this year.
"Recognized as a pioneer in the industry, wagamama was the first to introduce the communal table, the open kitchen and serving made-to-order dishes as soon as they’re ready. These new locations reflect wagamama's ongoing commitment to spreading its bowl to soul philosophy: wholesome, fresh food and a welcoming environment to nourish the body as well as the soul," said wagamama Chief Marketing Officer Ross Farquhar in the release.
