WaBa Grill heating up Fresno

Anaheim Hills, California-based WaBa Grill, a rice bowl chain, opened its first Fresno location at the River Oak Plaza, marking its third in California's Central Valley. Operated by Simran Nagra and longtime WaBa Grill franchisee Jerry Bajwa, the restaurant is the first of 30 planned for the area.

"After opening more than 20 WaBa Grill locations, I've seen the high demand for delicious, healthy and convenient dining options in many markets, and believe WaBa Grill will be a welcome addition to Fresno," Bajwa said in a company press release. "This is just the start of WaBa Grill's presence in the Central Valley, and we are thrilled to introduce its better-for-you options and wide range of freshly grilled proteins to the local community."

WaBa Grill is on pace to open at least 10 locations and surpass the 200-restaurant milestone before year's end.
