Portland's Voodoo Doughnut opened the doors this week to a shop in Vancouver, Washington, at 8203 NE Vancouver Mall Dr., marking the brand's 12th unit but first unit in the state.
"We are so excited to finally cross the I-5 bridge and open our doors in Vancouver," Chris Schultz, CEO for Voodoo Doughnut, said in a company press release. "We've been looking for years to find the perfect site to bring the Voodoo magic to the neighborhood. Vancouver is the first of several new shops this year."
The store will bring 50 jobs that will provide affordable medical coverage, a liberal PTO policy, pet insurance and a flexible work schedule –— without uniforms, nametags or a dress code, Schultz said.
Voodoo Doughnut will add locations this year in Cypress, Texas, as well as in the Denver International Airport.
