Viva Chicken, a fast casual Peruvian rotisserie joint, is expanding to South Carolina, officially signing the first of two leases for Greenville-area locations.
Founded by Chef Bruno Macchiavello and Randy Garcia in 2013, the menu is highlighted by Pollo a la Brasa — charcoal-fire-roasted chicken served hot and fresh — a staple of Peruvian street food. The menu also includes soups, salads, sandwiches, bowls and a variety of signature sides.
"Greenville is a beautiful town and one that we've had on our radar for some time," CEO Gerald Pulsinelli said in the release. "This hometown neighbor is a vibrant community and a logical choice for our continued expansion, and we believe Viva will bring a new flavor to the area. We are excited to open our doors to Greenville and share our take on Peruvian street food featuring Chef Bruno's family recipes."
Opening in the spring at 1139 Woodruff Rd., Suite B, the first South Carolina location will mark the brand's thirteenth store. The company has not yet determined the address of the area's second location but said the information was coming soon.
