Virginia getting second Jinya Ramen Bar

April 3, 2019

California's Jinya Ramen Bar is opening its second Virginia location by the end of the year at 11964 Market St., in Reston. After the opening of the first location in the state in Fairfax in 2016, and the two Washington-area locations, Jinya is now expanding to the trendy, up-and-coming neighborhood of Reston, according to a company press release.

The ramen-centric menu features hand-made Tonkotsu ramen noodles, 13 signature bowls, five kinds of signature broth and 25-plus toppings. The secret behind its bowls of ramen is in broth, which is simmered in Fuji water for 10 hours to preserve flavor and guarantee it is 99.9 percent free of impurities, according to the release.

Designed with consistency by CEO and Founder Tomo Takahashi, the location will exhibit a sleek and contemporary design completed with dimly lit,  wood-paneled dining rooms and outdoor patios that provide a spacious amount of seating.

The concept, named after a castle in a small town in Japan, opened in 2000, in Tokyo, and after launching six units, Takahashi opened the first U.S. location in 2010, in Studio City, California. It now has more than 30 locations.
