Bambu, a Vietnamese-inspired beverage chain, is opening a location next week in Madison Square Park, at 38 E. 23rd St., in the Flatiron neighborhood. Its first NYC store opened last year in Chinatown.
"We provide such a unique customer experience with our one-of-a-kind dessert drinks, and we are looking forward to sharing this experience with as many people in New York City as possible," Tracy Liang, co-owner of Bambu Madison Square Park, said in a company press release.
Each Bambu location offers more than 70 choices, including boba teas, smoothies, yogurt parfaits, signature coffees as well as Vietnamese Che, a traditional Vietnamese sweet beverage, dessert soup or pudding. The menu also includes waffles and ice cream mochi.
To celebrate the opening, customers visiting the Madison Square Park store on July 9 may receive a free pandan waffle with a $15 purchase, and on July 10, may buy three drinks and get one free. Bambu will also give avocado stress balls to the first 400 customers purchasing drinks during the grand opening event.
"Our new Manhattan locations showcase Bambu's unique menu of Vietnamese-inspired drinks and we are excited to introduce New York City to our authentic Che' using our house-made ingredients and fresh-cut coconuts," Scott Bachman, COO of Bambu Franchising LLC, the chain's parent company, said in the release.
Founded in 2008, in San Jose, California, Bambu has 62 locations.
