Velvet Taco opening 3rd DFW Location

Velvet Taco is opening its third DFW location Monday at 4622 Greenville Ave., in Dallas.

The restaurant marks the fifth Velvet Taco in Texas and the sixth system-wide with several more locations set to open in 2018, according to a company press release. Dallas' new Velvet Taco will be the first location to feature a drive-thru.
 
"We opened our very first Velvet Taco in the Knox/Henderson neighborhood just six years ago and to this day, we continue to have lines out the door," Clay Dover, president of Velvet Taco, said in the release. “We've always wanted to expand in Dallas, we were just waiting to find the perfect location. So now that we have, we are ready to open our doors to start serving our fresh take on the everyday taco."
 
Velvet Taco's all-day menu features scratch-made everything, including handmade corn tortillas, slowly roasted rotisserie meats, fresh-made, kick-ass margaritas and homemade red velvet cake for dessert, Dover said.
