Veggie Grill, a California-based restaurant chain, has entered a partnership with Sodexo Inc. to expand the plant-based foods concept to college campuses nationwide, including locations New York City, starting later this year, according to a press release.
The company, which operates 32 locations in California, Oregon, Washington State and Illinois, plans to open the new sites on selected campuses during the 2019–2020 school year.
"We have strategically opened several of our restaurant locations nearby or on college campuses, including UCLA, UC Berkeley and University of Washington," Veggie Grill CEO Steve Heely said in the release. "College students are at the forefront of the plant-based movement and they are more mindful about what they eat."
