Veggie Grill opening 30th unit

California-based Veggie Grill is opening its second Chicago location Monday in the Loop at the corner of Lake and Wells Streets. The area's first Veggie Grill opened earlier this in Lakeview.

"We're thrilled to open in the Chicago Loop, a milestone for our growing restaurant company as we expand beyond the West Coast," Veggie Grill CEO Steve Heeley, said in a company press release. "This neighborhood is central to Chicago's hardworking residents, and we look forward to serving a wide audience of veggie-centric guests looking for a convenient yet satisfying meal."

The 2,300-square-foot space restaurant marks the brand's thirtieth location. As it continues its Chicago expansion, it will open a location this year in the West Loop and one in River North, according to the release.
