Vapiano inks 10-unit deal in Dallas
March 30, 2008
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Vapiano has signed its first multiunit franchise deal in Texas, the company has announced.
Former Rockwall City, Texas, councilman and 7-Eleven executive, Tim McCallum will develop 10 restaurants in the greater Dallas market and expects to open his first unit in Uptown by September 2008. McCallum also plans to open future locations in the Austin and San Antonio metro areas.
With an average check of $10 for lunch and $13.50 for dinner, Vapiano's menu features classic Italian antipasti such as fresh-chopped Bruschetta and Beef Carpaccio served with cipriani sauce and arugula. Entrees of pasta or pizza range from $6.75 to $9.75, based on desired cheeses, meats, seafoods and vegetables. Desserts include Tiramisu or Crema di Fragola — fresh strawberries with mascarpone.
In addition to Washington, D.C., Vapiano has franchised units in development across the United States in cities such as Fort Meyers, Fla., and Boston.
