Juice It Up will open at least three locations in Florida under a partnership with franchise group CPB Investments. Taking advantage of Juice It Up's VetFran program, Former Air National Guard Tech Sgt. Philip Palmer, and his wife, Colleen Small — a seasoned franchise operator — will open their first location in Seminole County in late 2017.
"We're incredibly excited to bring the unique Juice It Up! experience and high-quality products to Florida," Palmer said in a company press release.
As a veteran of the U.S. military, Palmer received a 60 percent discount off the initial franchise fee.
"After our experience franchising with a national fast food brand, we were looking to partner with a healthy concept and Juice It Up was a natural choice. We're looking forward to serving up the best raw juices, açaí bowls and fresh smoothies in the Orlando area," he said.
The demand for healthy options in the Orlando region has given the brand the confidence to open in Florida, according to Carol DeNembo, Juice It Up vice president of business development.
"After experiencing six consecutive quarters of substantial sales and AUV increases, it's a very exciting time to grow with our brand and we couldn't be more thrilled to expand Juice It Up into Florida," she said.
The company, which has more than 100 units, is on track to add at least 10 additional units by year's end, according to the release.
