University of Texas at Austin expands food truck service

February 12, 2019

University Unions has expanded food truck service at the University of Texas at Austin to include breakfast hours.

Food trucks are now serving breakfast items outside Gregory Gym from 7–10 a.m., Monday through Friday, according to a report by The Daily Texan.

"We thought that students would appreciate having another option for breakfast," University Unions Program Coordinator Lisa Diaz told the Daily Texan. "We are excited to bring this to students."

Food trucks serving breakfast include Four Brothers, selling Venezuelan food; Chilaquil, selling Mexican food; and Mmmpanadas, selling stuffed pastries.

Food trucks began serving food on campus in April 2017 as part of a student government-led initiative.
