UFood Restaurant Group Inc. has announced it will open a UFood Grill restaurant in Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) headquarters, located in the Department of Transportation Building in Washington, D.C. The opening comes through a partnership with Sodexo Inc., which was recently awarded a 7-year contract by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) to operate food services at the FAA.
"Our growth into the Federal Aviation Administration marks an important turning point for UFood Grill and will open right on the heels of our three new locations at the Aberdeen Proving Ground military complex in Aberdeen, Md.," said UFood Grill CEO George Naddaff. "We could not be more proud to be bringing our fresh, healthier menu of offerings to another active US government location in the Washington, D.C., area."
UFood Grill operates restaurants in a number of trade channels including airports, hospitals, shopping centers and urban storefronts. The company's airport locations are in Boston, Cleveland and Dallas. In addition, two units are under construction at Salt Lake City International Airport, expected to open in late April 2012.
