Bodhi's Bowl, a fast casual restaurant specializing in chef-driven rice bowls, is launching a nationwide licensing and franchise program. The brand was founded by chef and former meteorologist James Wegner.
Wegner, a Canadian native who moved to the U.S. in 2013, created the concept with the goal of providing fast food that doesn't compromise on quality. The menu features made-to-order bowls with a blend of global flavors from Japan, India, South Africa and Europe. The brand's focus is on providing high-quality, made-to-order meals quickly.
"Bodhi's Bowl is about freedom — not being boxed into one type of cuisine," Wegner said in a company press release. "Rice is the canvas. I get to paint with flavors from everywhere I've been. That creative spirit is at the heart of this brand."
The restaurant, named after Wegner's son, emphasizes a chef-driven approach over following trends.
Wegner credited the local K66 program, an initiative supporting entrepreneurs, as a key resource in developing the brand.
Tulsa-based Franchise Innovations is managing the nationwide expansion. The company is seeking to partner with operators who share a passion for quality food and want to bring a new concept to their communities.
