Tropical Smoothie rolls out BBQ sandwiches, lemonade smoothies

Tropical Smoothie CafÃ© is making summer fun with the return of its "Beachside BBQ" celebration, featuring three tropic-inspired sandwich items and refreshing lemonade smoothies.

Starting May 24, Tropical Smoothie CafÃ© customers can purchase BBQ Chicken Cheddar Flatbread, BBQ Turkey Club and BBQ Chicken Island Wrap, as well as choose from any of the "Tempting Tropical Treasure Trio" line of lemonade smoothies.Available in three varieties, they include Blueberry, Island and Strawberry, made with real fruit and all-natural Turbinado sugar.

"After trying our barbecue sandwiches and lemonade smoothies, we're sure our guests will agree that summer never tasted so good," said Barbara Valentino, vice president of marketing and communication for Tropical Smoothie CafÃ©. "It's the perfect time to kick back and reward your taste buds with the tropical flavors of the season."

The featured sandwiches combine the rich, smoky flavor of barbecue with the tastes of the tropics:

BBQ Chicken Cheddar Flatbread – a tempting blend of chicken, cheddar cheese, onions and tomato.
BBQ Turkey Club – a delicious combination of turkey, provolone cheese, bacon and romaine lettuce, served on a fresh Ciabatta bun.
BBQ Chicken Island Wrap – a savory tropic classic, with chicken, pineapple, onions and mozzarella cheese nestled inside a white tortilla and toasted to perfection.

As an added treat this year, customers can top off their meals with the sweet taste of strawberries and white chocolate in the new Strawberry Shortcake Cookie. Tropical Smoothie CafÃ© offers a large selection of breakfast, lunch and dinner options including more than 35 real-fruit, blended smoothies.
