Tropical Smoothie partners with CMI to fill foam cup needs

Tropical Smoothie Cafe has tapped Custom Made Inventory to produce its 12- and 24-ounce foam cups, marking the first time CMI has ventured into foam products.
"CMI has quickly become a strategic business partner to Tropical Smoothie Cafe," Kristi Kingery, Tropical Smoothie SVP of supply chain, said in a company press release. "They understand our unique business needs and deliver unparalleled customer service to meet those needs. We've quickly learned they are a 'yes' supplier that can make the impossible."
With this latest addition, CMI produces a wide range of disposable packaging items for Tropical Smoothie Cafe across various materials.
Tropical Smoothie Cafe, which has over 1,400 locations in 44 states, was acquired by Blackstone in June from Levine Leichtman Capital Partners.
