Tropical Smoothie expanding Ohio, Illinois footprint

Tropical Smoothie Cafe is expanding its presence in the Midwest. Although it already has locations in both Ohio and Illinois, it plans to open 50 locations across both states over the next five years, according to a company press release.

"We see tremendous growth potential for Tropical Smoothie Cafe in the Midwest and believe that our successful business model and strong franchisee network will resonate in the region," CEO Mike Rotondo, said in the release.
