Tropical Smoothie Café named a top franchise for minorities

Franchises were evaluated based on the number of operating units owned or managed by minorities as well as the number of minorities in senior management.

Tropical Smoothie Café  was named to "The World Franchising Network's 50 Top Franchises for Minorities" list, which was recently announced in the Oct. 24 edition of USA Today.

Tropical Smoothie Café was among 50 franchises named to the eighth annual list, which aims to show the progress minorities have made within the franchising community. The World Franchising Network selected the 50 franchises from more than 380 that sought recognition. To make the list, the franchises were evaluated based on the number of operating units owned or managed by minorities as well as the number of minorities in senior management.

"We are honored to be spotlighted as a top franchise for minorities," said Tropical Smoothie Café CEO Mike Rotondo in a company press release. "We strive to attract bright and talented individuals from diverse backgrounds to join Tropical Smoothie Café at all levels from franchise owners to corporate employees."
