Tropical Smoothie Café plans to develop as many as 40 locations throughout the Dallas area in coming years.

September 24, 2014

Tropical Smoothie Café will enter the Dallas market after signing three franchise agreements in the Dallas area and one in Fort Worth.

Tropical Smoothie Café plans to develop as many as 40 locations throughout the Dallas area in coming years.

Four total cafés are expected to open in Fort Worth, The Colony, North Dallas and downtown Dallas in early 2015.

The Colony location will be owned by husband-and-wife entrepreneurs and Dallas residents Cliff and Kate Holsenbeck. The couple, who were introduced to the brand more than a decade ago while attending college, decided to open a Tropical Smoothie Café location because they believe the healthier food and smoothies will appeal to Dallas residents, according to a company press release.

"We couldn't believe Dallas was a completely untapped market for Tropical Smoothie Café," said Cliff in the release. "We are eager to bring Tropical Smoothie Café's fresh food and smoothies, which are made with real fruit and vegetables, to the active Dallas community."

Tropical Smoothie Café is currently seeking franchise partners to develop up to 40 locations throughout the Dallas area, including Fort Worth, Plano, Richardson, Grapevine, University Park, Arlington and Garland, among others.
