September is National Breakfast Month, and Tropical Smoothie Café, a tropical-themed smoothie and sandwich chain with more than 285 locations, is celebrating the occasion with the addition of three new ciabatta sandwiches and two flatbreads as well as a new Triple Berry Oat Smoothie to the breakfast menu.
The new breakfast menu items will be available from Sept. 1 through Dec. 26. In addition to the new sandwiches, flatbreads and smoothie, customers can buy a 12 oz. orange juice to accompany their breakfast meals.
“Studies show that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and with our new menu we want our guests to know we’re eager to become part of their daily morning routine,” said Jim Valentino, president and chief operating officer of Tropical Smoothie Café. “Smoothies are a natural breakfast item, and we have more than 35 of them. Now we are providing even more breakfast options and making them available all day long.”
The new Triple Berry Oat Smoothie is a combination of blueberries, cranberries and strawberries with a special blend of whole-grain oats, flax, whey, and multivitamin, sweetened with Splenda. The smoothie contains 20 grams of whole grain and 8 grams of fiber.

In addition to the new flatbreads, Tropical Smoothie Café is featuring the popular Peanut Butter Banana Crunch flatbread, made with peanut butter, banana, granola and honey as part of its new breakfast lineup.
Customers also can choose between two breakfast combo meals: either a new sandwich or flatbread and a 12-ounce orange juice, or a new sandwich or flatbread and a real-fruit smoothies.
