Despite a dreadful economy, better burger concept Mooyah continued its franchise growth last year, expanding from 18 locations to 27, and opened up new markets in California, Connecticut and Tennessee.

Additional openings are imminent in new territories that include Alabama, Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma and Illinois. The company maintains an aggressive growth plan, aiming for 450 additional units within the next 10 years, which it intends to reach by focusing on franchise sales to multi-unit, multi-concept operators who can help the company to steady region-by-region growth.
