Tom & Eddie's second location to open soon

November 23, 2010

Tom & Eddie's has announced that it will open its second Illinois location December 14, at the Shoppes at Geneva Commons, west of Chicago.

The opening comes less than six months after the successful launch of the first Tom & Eddie's restaurant in Lombard, Ill. On the first day of business, owners Ed Rensi and Tom Dentice planned for 300 guests. More than 900 were served.

The theme of Geneva's grand opening is "Dressed to the Nines" to symbolize the nine signature burgers on the menu. Additionally, any guest who is "dressed to the nines" in formal wear (a tuxedo or evening gown) or a full Santa suit or as Mrs. Claus will receive a free meal. This formal wear freebie is for the first nine days of the restaurant's operation - from opening day through December 22.

Tom & Eddie's Geneva location also is one of the first restaurants in Chicago to use the Coca-Cola Freestyle dispenser. The touchscreen dispenser offers 106 combinations of Coca-Cola branded beverages dispensed via proprietary PurePour Technology.

Rensi and Dentice took more than a year to develop the burgers on the Tom & Eddie's menu.

"You can have the best food in the world," Rensi said, "but if you don't have happy, satisfied customers, you can't have a successful business. We welcome any and all feedback and suggestions from our guests."
