Togo's plans 1,000 sandwich giveaway to mark grand opening

Togo's Eateries, Inc. will celebrate the opening of its newest restaurant at 8685 Irvine Center Drive in Irvine, Calif., on Aug. 18 by giving away regular #9 Hot Pastrami sandwiches to the first 1,000 guests who redeem the special offer via the brand's Facebook promotion page.

Togo's Eateries, Inc. will celebrate the opening of its newest restaurant at8685 Irvine Center Drive in Irvine, Calif., on Aug. 18 by giving away regular #9 Hot Pastrami sandwiches to the first 1,000 guests who redeem the special offer via the brand's Facebook promotion page.

Togo's will also surprise select local businesses with catering parties throughout September. The Irvine restaurant will also host a fundraiser event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16 to benefit the Irvine Public School Foundation and the Irvine Animal Care Center, respectively. Local attendees will receive a free, regular sandwich, chips and a drink with every $5 donation made to the organizations.

"Mimi and I are excited to expand Togo's presence in Irvine and become a favorite dining destination among residents and businesses alike," said Alan Sueda, franchisee, in a company press release "We've always enjoyed Togo's sandwiches and take great pride in being part of a company that gives back to the community. We hope that local residents will join us on August 16 to help raise funds for these two great local organizations."

To participate in the 1,000-sandwich giveaway, local residents must visit www.togosirvinegiveaway.com to access the new restaurant's Facebook promotion. Customers can choose either to print out or show the page on their mobile device to the cashier upon checkout. The first 1,000 guests to present the coupon at the restaurant will receive a free regular #9 Hot Pastrami sandwich valid from Aug. 18 through Aug. 24. The restaurant will also be giving away free sandwiches for a year to every 100th guest during its second week of operation.
