Togo's opens in Arizona

Togo’s Eateries, Inc. has announced the opening of its newest restaurant in Gilbert, Ariz.

To celebrate Togo’s arrival in Arizona, two Gilbert customers will win free sandwiches for one year. Additionally, the local community is invited to attend the official grand opening celebration Aug. 18, 2012, with music, prizes and a local fundraising event.

The restaurant is owned and operated by franchisee Monty Coury.

“I grew up in the restaurant business and once my wife and I tried Togo’s food, we knew we had to open a restaurant near our hometown,” he said.

Coury's background is in commercial development and the Gilbert Togo’s is the first of three Togo's locations he has plans to open in Arizona's Maricopa County.

Togo’s has more than 250 open locations and recently marked its 40th anniversary. As for additional expansion, the company is seeking to reach 400 new locations in key markets such as Arizona, California, Nevada, Oregon and Washington by 2015.
