Toast and Uber Technologies Inc. are collaborating on product innovation and go-to-market initiatives designed to help restaurants grow sales and simplify operations. Focusing first on the U.S. and Canada, Uber will become the preferred food delivery marketplace for Toast restaurants globally.

"Toast's partnership with Uber is focused on jointly creating a more seamless, integrated experience that gives restaurants more control and flexibility to increase revenue, streamline operations and attract new diners," Aman Narang, Toast CEO, said in a company press release.

Toast, an all-in-one digital technology platform for restaurants, and Uber said the partnership will deepen their integration to help restaurants better manage digital ordering, enhance guest experiences, and increase revenue.

Partnership details

  • Preferred delivery: Toast will make Uber its preferred food delivery marketplace for its restaurant customers worldwide.
  • Integrated tools: The companies plan to combine Toast's point-of-sale offerings with Uber's delivery and technology network to provide tools that generate revenue, reduce friction, and streamline operations for merchants.
  • Marketing/advertising: New tools enabling Toast merchants to run and manage promotions and local advertising on Uber Eats directly from the Toast platform are expected to begin rolling out in 2026.
  • Global Expansion: The existing Uber Eats, Uber Direct and Toast Delivery Services integrations will be implemented in Canada, and an Uber Eats integration is planned for Ireland and the United Kingdom.

Susan Anderson, global head of Delivery for Uber, said in the release the partnership would make it "easier for restaurants to grow on their own terms." She added that pairing Toast's technology with Uber's delivery expertise will help merchants "unlock new revenue with less complexity."

The companies have partnered since 2021, most recently expanding their collaboration in 2024 to integrate Toast Delivery Services with Uber Direct, which helps U.S. restaurants save on delivery fees and expand their delivery radius using Uber's network.
