Colorado-based Teriyaki Madness started 2025 with a growth spurt, opening 10 shops. Nine franchisees joined the brand, and systemwide gross sales climbed 21% year-over-year while Q1 sales increased 14.23% year-over-year and 5.45%. To keep up that growth, the chain has launched an Executive Franchise Package designed to let experienced operators open an unlimited number of shops while paying just one franchise fee ($121,500), as long as they keep signing new leases every six months, said CEO Michael Haith.

"This was one of our biggest quarters yet, but honestly, it's what we've built this brand to do," Haith said in a company press release. "The demand is real — customers love us, franchisees are doubling down, and serious operators are lining up to get in. Teriyaki Madness is built different. And people are starting to catch on."

Last year, TMAD, which has 165 locations, opened shops in California, Texas, Colorado, Wisconsin and Ohio — and planted its flag in Wyoming and awarded new franchisees in Maryland. The Madness isn't stopping at U.S. borders, however. The chain opens Friday in El Salvador, with more on the way throughout Central America.

Executive Franchise Package

Haith is excited about the Executive Franchise Package, which includes a 15% discount on franchise fees for candidates with at least five years in the hospitality game.

"We're building a community that wins together — and has a hell of a time doing it," Haith said.
