Tijuana Flats opening 6th Florida location

Tijuana Flats is opening its sixth Florida location Monday in Lutz as part of its focus on the Sunshine State. The company will open 15 units in Florida by the end of the year, according to a press release.

Located at 17475 N. Dale Mabry Hwy., the 2,450-foot-store will feature the company's "Amp'd Up" store model. Design elements include new wall finishes using patina metal, durock and corrugated metal, new furniture, a new service counter configuration featuring a beer fridge, an updated specials screen, stainless shelving and customer-painted tiles.

"Our Tampa-area guests have always been champions of our 'Flat Outrageous' brand, so it is only natural that we continue to expand in the region," Nate McCabe, Tampa area supervisor at Tijuana Flats, said in the release. "We are excited for this new store and for the opportunity to continue to serve our always-fresh Tex-Mex to the residents of Hillsborough County.”

Like all existing Tijuana Flats stores, the location will feature energy-efficient equipment and environmentally friendly processes, according to the release.
