Three former NBA players commit to develop Freshii brand

Freshii has signed a deal with three former NBA players, Harvey Catchings, Rathel Whittaker and Allen Leavell, to expand the brand in Houston. According to a news release, the role of the players is to help raise funds to expand the brand's footprint in the area and bring on more franchisees.

Catchings, former NBA player from 1974-1985 for various teams, now runs the NBA Players' Pension and looks for investments for active and retired pro basketball players. He contacted Freshii to explore investment opportunities, and brought Whittaker and Leavell on board.

Freshii plans to open approximately 20 locations throughout the Houston area.
