The Wing Experience opening virtual restaurant in Chicago

The Wing Experience, a virtual restaurant created by the full-service brand, Smokey Bones, is opening Friday in Chicago's Kitchen United ghost kitchen space at 831 N. Sedgwick St. Customers may order delivery from ubereats.com, kitchenunited.com or smokeybones.com, according to a company press release. 

"Wings are some of the most popular items on our menu and it made sense to create a virtual, sub-brand dedicated to wings," Smokey Bones CEO James O’Reilly said in the release. "The Wing Experience allows us to expand our wings menu and get creative with different flavors and sauces."

The menu features two styles of wings — Smoked Wings and Jumbo Breaded Wings —  which both offer 14 flavors, including flavors that are not offered on the current Smokey Bones' menu.

Also available are seasoned fries, baked potatoes a wedge or Caesar salad, strawberry cheesecake and a six-layer chocolate cake.

Smokey Bones has 60 full-service restaurants in 16 states and created the Wing Experience in 2019. It has since opened more than 15 virtual restaurants, all operating out of existing Smokey Bones' kitchens.
