The Hummus & Pita Co. drives Midwest expansion forward

Mediterranean fast casual brand The Hummus & Pita Co. is continuing its expansion into the Midwest with a multi-unit franchise deal for Columbus, Ohio. The brand plans to open the doors of its first Columbus store in 2020 with franchise partner HAPCO Development of Ohio, LLC., according to a press release.

To grow the brand in major markets nationwide, The Hummus & Pita Co. is partnering with Fransmart.

"Because the demand for Mediterranean cuisine and healthy food alternatives continues to rise, The Hummus & Pita Co. has unlimited growth potential," said Dan Rowe, CEO of Fransmart, in the release. "We are thrilled to partner with an experienced multi-unit operator to bring the concept’s variety of authentically flavorful, healthy and innovative options to diners in Columbus and beyond."

The brand operates six locations throughout New York City, Connecticut, New Jersey and Michigan, with additional units under development in Atlanta, Los Angeles and Montgomery, Alabama.
