The Habit Burger Grill has unveiled a Grown-Up Meal, citing a study it commissioned that showed 75% of Americans approved of adults ordering from kids' menus but are embarrassed to do it.
Each meal is $6 and includes a full-size charburger, fries, drink and a mini gummy burger for the same price as a typical kid's meal, said Jack Hinchliffe, chief marketing officer, at Habit Burger.
"We've spotted a trend: Savvy adults covertly ordering off the kids' menu to manage expenses," he said in a company press release. "The Grown-Up Meal lets them enjoy the savings without the kid-sized portions."
The study, conducted by OnePoll and surveying 2,000 adults nationwide, also found that 67% of Americans felt guilty about dining out due to rising costs.
The Grown-Up Meal is available for a limited time at participating locations.
The Habit Burger Grill has over 370 restaurants in 14 states.
