The Gyro Project opening 1st Manhattan location

The Gyro Project, which serves Greek street food with a contemporary twist, is opening its first Manhattan restaurant next month on the Upper West Side at the corner of 71st and Broadway.

"The Gyro Project is about making the most flavorful Mediterranean food accessible to those looking for a quick lunch or dinner with friends and family," George Tenedios, co-owner of The Gyro Project, said in a company press release. "With our recent and upcoming expansions, we look forward to serving anyone craving Greece's beloved culinary traditions."

The Gyro Project will offer Greek mezedes (appetizers), specialty fries, pitas and bowls, salads, entree platters, feta-brined whole bird rotisserie chicken, traditional sweet and savory Greek bakery items and froyo.

The Upper West Side opening marks The Gyro Project's third location.
