The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill has its sights set on South Florida opening this week in West Palm Beach, adding to locations in Palm Beach Gardens, Port St. Lucie and the Orlando area. The second Orlando location opened downtown in April and includes a private banquet and meeting space, expansive patio seating,a full catering kitchen, and will offer happy hour daily with wine, beer and appetizers.
"The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill continues to be a huge success and our franchisees and customers quickly see why we are growing," Co-Founder Nick Della Penna said in a company press release. "We want to continue our expansion throughout Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and across the state of Florida.
The restaurant features traditional gyros as well as lamb, steak and chicken Souvlaki platters. In addition, guests may choose from house-made dips including hummus, tzatziki, Melitzanosalata and Tirokafteri (spicy roasted red pepper) as well as the made-to-order Fresh Feta Fries, Baklava Ice Cream and Rice Pudding.
The Great Greek, which was co-founded in 2011 by two third-generation culinary-trained restaurateurs, has 141 franchise locations either open or in development both domestically and internationally.
The company's parent company, United Franchise Group, which is comprised of 10 affiliated companies and brands with more than 1,600 franchisees in more than 80 countries, is seeking additional franchisee. The initial fee is $39,500 with a total investment cost ranging $476,050- $798,250, according to the release.
