The Frantz brothers open new Omaha Potbelly location

July 18, 2016

Potbelly Sandwich Shop is opening its third location in Omaha, Nebraska in mid-October in Papillion.

"The Potbelly vibe has proven to resonate well here in Omaha. It's a perfect fit," said Craig Frantz, who is franchising the unit with his brother Kendall. "We pride ourselves on that fact that all of our shops are managed with a community-driven mindset and we anticipate the opening of our third Potbelly Shop to bring us even closer to the community."

Kendall will help manage the restaurant's operations and hire and train new staff, the report said.

"Craig and I used to dream about opening a family business and now that dream is a reality," he said. "There is nothing quite like Potbelly. This announced opening of our third Potbelly location validates another dream we have always had – to be able to pass down a family business through generations. Potbelly is a timeless concept that we enjoy sharing with our friends, family and community."

The unit will create 30 new jobs, including managers and customer service staff.

"Potbelly very carefully selects our franchisees, entrepreneurs and operators alike. It's important our brand is represented by people with a commitment to their community and proven entrepreneurial success. With Craig and Kendall's experience running our successful Omaha locations, we have the utmost confidence in their ability to grow the brand in Nebraska," Rick Fossali, senior director of domestic franchising for Potbelly Sandwich Shop, said in the release. "As every new sandwich shop is designed to resemble the community in which it resides, we're confident that Craig and Kendall will continue to build sandwich shops that are custom-made for Omaha."
